I saw Ghostbusters on cable last night, and there was a brief scene through Dan Aykroyd’s special goggles. Also, I don’t remember for sure, but I seem to remember views through the spotting scope in the film Enemy at the Gates. Probably most sniper films will have first person views.

On rewatching Saving Private Ryan recently, which I hadn’t seen since it originally showed, I noticed how well the FPS games like Medal of Honor have imitated the look and feel of the movie. Through much of the movie, it felt more like I was playing a FPS game than watching a passive movie.

During the sniper in the tower scene in SPR, I noticed I was unconsciously twiddling my mouse wheel finger and counting shots. Reload, reload dammit! And if the guy had just circle-strafed his way back down the stairs, everything would have been fine!

The 1976 film [The Message](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074896/) is a depiction of the life of the Prophet Mohammed:

> [@](#):
>
> In accordance with Muslim beliefs, Mohammed could not be depicted on screen nor could his voice be heard. This rule extended to his seven wives, his daughters and his sons-in-law. This left Mohammed’s uncle as the central character (played by Anthony Quinn). In the completed film, actors speak directly to the camera and then nod to un-heard dialogue.
