I just saw the trailer for _Final Destination 2_. Does this film look like it’s the _exact same film_ as the first one? ---

But it’s not exactly the same. The Rube Goldberg deaths happen differently, you see. ---

I do think this could be a franchise with legs if it would reinvent itself, though. Instead of the Wacky Faces of Death thing, it should go more for comedy value. Death shouldn’t be a sadistic overly-complicated genius, Death should be more akin to Wile E. Coyote, Suuuper-Genius; attempting to get the annoying teens with ever-more-ludicrous Wacky Death Coincidences, which always seem to backfire and end up actually saving more lives. ---

And there’s a “2” at the end of the title. I don’t remember the first one having a “2”. ---

I saw the trailer for this along with the ones for “Dumb and Dumber 2” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.” My exact words: “This has to be a joke. These can’t be real.” Sadly, they are. What’s next, Armageddon 2? ---

Actually, the original was a pretty interesting movie before it was thoroughly emasculated by test audiences. If you’ve seen the DVD, the original ending was actually quite interesting- and didn’t set up the inevitable sequel. **Anamorphic** , it isn’t actually _totally different people_- Devin Sawa and Tony Todd seem to be returning… ---

Original ending? Didn’t the movie end by the survivors going to Europe, only to find out Death is still after them? ---

That’s the ending of the theatrical release. The original, far superior, ending was that the “final girl” found out she was pregnant and “beats death” by bringing a new life into the world. Stupid test audiences dictated that the ending was changed to the standard idiotic horror movie ending that has been in use since **Halloween**.
