Yes. He wasn’t in the imdb credits (which isn’t surprising- they sometimes run a few weeks behind on guest stars- Eric Balfour and Reed Diamond aren’t listed either) but I knew I recognized him, and when I looked at [Louis Lombardi](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0518385/)I knew that was him last night.

> Yeah, the show is kind of mean to its supporting characters (Leland’s girlfriend being a killer, killing off the annoying guy upstairs [though he’s probably less annoying to neighbors than Monk], Harold Krenshaw almost being killed by his cousin, etc.).

Pretty much all Dramas (and this is a dramady) have this issue. Bad writers always turn to the recourse of hacks- "_this time, it’s personal"._

Sampiro : IRL he’d already have a Disability Retirement.

I didn’t realize until watching my secret crush Jim Parsons (Sheldon from _Big Bang Theory_) discuss his nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy Series that MONK is classified as comedy. (Parsons discussed his competition and Tony Shalhoub is nominated in the same category.) I’ll admit it’s not exactly drama but I think I’d lean that way before outright comedy.
