I’d like to know what resources are available for finding qualified plastic surgeons in Costa Rica. What is the best way to find good ones? What ways can I check on their background and so on? In the US I know there are agencies that maintain info that is pretty easy to find, but overseas? Does anyone have any other general info about having plastic surgery done in Costa Rica? ---

Maybe you should learn some Spanish, or go to the US Embassy or Consulate to ask for information. ---

Has anyone here gone abroad for medical work before? Do you know how they deal with the whole consultation issue? I mean… I won’t be able to go for a consultation before I choose a surgeon, being that it’s on another continent and all…? I have to do all the research and choosing without actually meeting the doctors. It’s kind of weird.
