@penultima_thule watch out for flooding! I don’t know whether road problems along your particular route or not; but apparently quite a few down NYC way and there are problems in some parts of the Finger Lakes, though I’m not seeing anything on the news about Watkins or Burdett. I did send you a short text, also. ETA @Paintcharge – do you know about road conditions your side of the lake? ---

My side of the lake is fine. I just drove down through Ithaca, and nothing really going on there, as far as water goes. Two Goats is up on the highland, so it should be fine. ---

That’s encouraging. If Ithaca’s OK then probably Watkins is also – that’s the low spot between me and Two Goats. There’s also that interesting bit of 414 right by the waterfall. ---

Hi! Have cleared NYC without drama Am now at the VC near Kirkwood. All going to plan A. Suggestions of flooding from locals. Will see how the GPS handles that. ---

– I don’t know whether @penultima_thule is likely to make it to Two Goats around the original time, or not until at least a couple of hours later. I’ve texted again. I was only going to hang out for a couple of hours, though I could do so either at the original time or somewhat later. @Paintcharge ---

OK; I’ll aim for around 4, might be a little bit later. If I get a reply to the text before I leave, I’ll let you know; but once I’m en route I won’t be on the boards. I’m probably doing an errand en route, and will be trying to leave here around 3:20. ---

He’s in Watkins at the hotel and asking where we’re meeting. I think at this point it’s at Two Goats around 4 or so? Will answer that, anyway. ---
