**finn007** , now that you’ve paid your money, you might as well take a closer look at the rules. They’re worth knowing and it takes a while to get used to what is appropriate where. I didn’t think your question in the other thread was stupid at all, but it probably would have required a long and complex answer. (Believe me, I don’t know anything about economics myself.) Newbies here have to have a little endurance and learn how to choose their battles. (Kind of like in Sligo…) Don’t come out swinging like a windmill at the first punch. And don’t whimper off. Look, aaah… I’m not going to defend **finn007** here. He’s big and ugly enough to look after himself, and if he wants to come to the Pit then he can expect to cop some heat. But I know this mad bastard outside of the SDMB. I can assure you one thing: he might be a feckin’ psycho - but he ain’t stupid. I can’t help thinking he’s played a few folks here like a fiddle. Once again, not a defence, just an observation. It took me a flamefest or two to get into **finn** headspace too. I can assure you it’s a bloody strange locale too, but it’s never dull. ---

Echoing **TheLoadedDog** here: I, also, know **finn007** from other places online. He’s weird, sometimes he says stuff that gets right up th’ nose and turns the brain within to mush – but he’s a good guy. Just he’s used to a more rough-and-ready form of street fighting, rather than duels of intellect over a polished chessboard, I guess. ---
