Who pissed in your cornflakes today? I’ll make it simple, since you at least started out reasonably. 1. I AM a regular guy. I can be just as dumbass as anybody here. I like kids, don’t want war, want what everybody else here wants. (I’m certainly less rude than most people here, who insult me for \*thinking \*differently than they do.) 2. EVERYBODY equates National Socialism with 'exterminating Jews." 3. I point out that National Socialism does not necessarily mean that, and point out that the Jewish aspect of being National Socialist was entirely a German thing. 4. Everybody here will swear a blood oath that this I am telling a lie about any NS/Jewish connection, that I hate Jews, and am still cackling with glee about the Holocaust, but, I’m lying about it to cover up…I don’t know what. 5. I say that I am not convinced of the party line about the Holocaust. I have said that the party line may be correct, but, I am not convinced as such. (i.e., I am a semi-Holocaust Denier.) 6. I made this thread to insult \*\*FinnAgain \*\*and \*\*Shmendrick \*\*for being assholes, and mischaracterising my position. (As people here still do.) One called me an idiot, I can’t remember what the other did. Maybe both did. I could be acting childish, but, I still need to grow up. Now, if I’ve missed anything, you can point it out. Further, what is entirely objectionable about any of these points? ---

My father was an Army Major in WWII. He saw the camps and the people in them. That’s kind of the end of the story. You can dance an elaborate Kabuki dance about how this was all just a big misunderstanding and all the truckloads of evidence that there were death camps is some kind of a Jew/Commie/Academic plot, but …really? Is pimping intellectual feces that compelling an exercise for you? ---

Here is somebody whom you don’t know, saying “I’m not convinced” and you’re calling me bad names. OK, this is the Pit, and I have a thick skin. Do you not see that you’re getting upset for the wrong reason? I haven’t even called Holocaust proponents liars, or said bad things about anybody (except, of course, for the assholes who insulted me, but, I think that that’s endemic to the human specie.) I was born in the 50s, and had to live through the 60s, when we were taught to question everything. Think about My Lai. I think I gave other examples. I point out, I don’t even say “we’ve been lied to” or “you’re stupid for believing”, and look at how hot everyone gets! Being called a coward is the least of my worries; I’m more concerned about whether to go to Dunkin Donuts or Winchells. But, I sense that you are entirely too invested in this. What you should be doing is helping me cuss out fuckers like the aforementioned who have misquoted me and mis-characterized what I’ve said. That sort of abomination should be universally censured. ---
