However, the OP would seem to favor Ron Paul. In the last GOP debate Ron Paul said we need to abolish the Department of Education, Energy, Commerce, and Health and Human Resources. It is not that great of a leap to go from Ron Paul’s position to **MissesA** ’s position. ---

They’re not going to vote Republican as a protest against Obama anymore than somebody who thought Bush was too liberal would have voted for Kerry as a protest in 2004. ---

Maybe. Maybe they just won’t vote at all. Many people would rather not vote than vote for what they see as a lesser evil. ---
