Thankfully his truck was found destroyed, so people driving blue pickup trucks in the LA area no longer have to be worried about cops trying to [summarily execute them](http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/02/ex-cop-manhunt-newspaper-delivery-women-shot.html). ---

Does anybody have any sort of info on the trucks that did get fired on? For example it might have been they didn’t hear (or possibly ignored) police orders to stop. ---

I wouldn’t want to be this bad guy. He’s got all those cops pissed. It’s not a job anymore. He directly threatened some of their families. Killing his ass is a personal mission now. I see about twenty bullets in this dudes head before it’s over with. Bonnie & Clyde made the mistake of killing a cop in Texas and one in Alma Arkansas. They were ambushed by a group lead by a Texas Ranger in Louisiana. Several men carried Browning Automatics. Bonnie & Clyde had shot their way out of a police arrest outside Kansas City a year earlier, wounding several cops. The cop’s BAR’s made sure they wouldn’t pull that crap in Louisiana. I saw the shot up car at a carnival. It looked like swiss cheese. The car was part of the carnival circuit for decades. ---

I can’t imagine what the malfunction was there. From the pictures, they must’ve put thirty or more bullet holes in the back of the truck. And its hard to see how you can mistake two woman for one heavyset man with a shaved head. And there were apparently a second similar incident, though no injuries in the second case. ---

Of course, I’d imagine that that would work better, from a tactical and legal standpoint, if they hadn’t _announced_ that they were planning to do that by shooting up two separate trucks. ---

That was pretty dumb. This guy must really have the cops spooked to shoot up random blue trucks. They got to calm down enough to do their job and make sure they have the right guy. On the bright side, they’re apparently not very good at summary executions. Kind of crazy they put that many bullets into the back of the truck and the two woman are apparently still alive (or at least they haven’t died yet, dunno what they’re conditions are like) ---

The two women who were injured were in a GRAY truck. Apparently it just _looked_ sort of blue in bad lighting, so they hosed it down just to be sure. That’s completely ridiculous and unacceptable, of course. I hope those involved are charged and convicted as expeditiously as possible. We have to send a strong message to those on a murderous rampage who threaten our families. ---

I, for one, am heartened to know that in the event of some of us poor non-police slobs being murdered by a deranged man with an agenda, the LAPD would respond as they are doing now, and empty their weapons into every kinda sorta similar looking vehicle. They do have the same level of berserk, depraved disregard for public safety every time it’s just regular citizens in danger, right?
