Chris Dorner stood for true American values against an oppressive police force that used its manpower to push down the minorities. He was a real life superman, the world is sadder for his passing. ---

I live in LA, and a local radio report on a news station began with, “Well, it may indeed be ‘Ash’ Wednesday for Christopher Dorner, assuming the remains are identified as his.” I get the humor in that, but that struck me as really unprofessional commentary. Which is not in any way to suggest I have sympathy for Dorner. It just seemed out-of-line given the situation. ---
