I would guess that they’re a bit shocked at how many people either see Dorner as a folk hero, or at least sympathise with him even if they think he crossed a line. And that’s before these fucking bufoons lit up a couple of old ladies. The LAPD has a bit of an image problem and they know they need to fix it. Of course, they won’t do what actually needs to be done, they won’t fix any real problems, but for now they’ll happily do a bit of theatre to show the world how seriously they are taking this. ---

Do even you people lionizing Dorner seriously believe he was anything other than impulsively violent during his tenure on the force? The guy is a snarling bag of indiscriminant murderous rage, and I’ll bet you money that that’s the whole reason he ever joined the damn LAPD in the first place. ---
