I have a MacBook Air laptop and a Firefox browser. Whenever I click onto a news story from Yahoo!, I get shimmering gray boxes instead of photos. I would dump Firefox and use Chrome, but I have lots of message boards with passwords I don’t really feel like tracking down. Can anybody tell me what’s going on? ---

First things first: are you running any extensions? Learn to work with different profiles on Firefox. If making a new profile fixes the issue, you may want to look into the Reset Firefox option also mentioned in the above link. If the problem shows up even on a new profile, we’ll need to look further for a cause. ---

It appears to be related to my VPN.
