It’s a sensitive subject, too. I once asked a bellhop, “How often do you hire someone to come up here and inspect your hose?” and he slapped me with one of his gloves.
That is another problem.
Fire crews also have a whole truck full of hose, its pretty easy for one guy to carry a hefty bundle of hose called a high rise pack

Isn’t that box then a nice little goldmine for thieves?
I don’t know anything about the OP, I must admit.
However, I couldn’t help but notice something interesting.

I don’t have any proof but these numbers seem atypical… What is going on?
Wikipedia mentions that many business owners will tie the knox box into the alarm system so that opening the box will trigger a call to the police station. Obviously moot when the fire department is already on the scene, but otherwise helpful.
A lot of old timers don’t like stairs?
Good luck getting the ones off that I put up.
1st you are going to need a ladder. you probably will be noticed.
2nd if you get it off those little boxes are like a safe. It will be hard to open it.
I’m now waiting for one of those boxes to pop up as a little info tidbit on Burn Notice.
Think of it this way: Would you want to break into a lock box belonging to a gang of truckers who run around with fire axes?
