As I was passing them in the hallway, my boss says to one of my co-workers “Can I speak to you for a minute?”
So I, smartass that I am, say “Oh, that can’t be good ;)” and keep walking.
Turns out I was right. It was the “Get your stuff and get out” talk.

A couple of years ago our director of finance was met at the door by two police officers. It seems he’d been stealing from the company for years. Unbeknownst to him, someone had tipped off the president of the company that owns us and the forensic accountants had been snooping for months.
Well, he literally KICKED AND SCREAMED on his way out - fuck you, you fucking Nazis, I didn’t do anything, I’ll sue you, I’ll sue everyone, blah blah blah.
He got four years in prison, I am thrilled to report.
