Just something I noticed today that I thought I’d share. I’ve seen at least two people who have registered before they ever made a post. i.e. they started a thread and that was post number 1. It’s good to see we are still drawing people in. ---

The board seems to be doing okay on converting existing members into subscribers. But how is it going on the other half of the equation: what has been the rate of new members joining the board in comparison to the average? ---

Since Ed’s announcement, we’ve had a big spike of subscribers who are also first-time members. See the graphs I posted [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=250512). Maybe I should’ve answered here instead of opening a new thread, but I was pretty brain dead when I posted it; sorry. BTW, we’re at 2,900 CMs exactly (does not include SDSAB) as of 2004/04/13 00:35 a.m. ---
