One half of a married couple in Boston gave his husband a pretty amazing Valentine’s Day present this year: [his kidney](http://www.365gay.com/Newscon06/03/031306kidney.htm).

> [@](#):
>
> Bill Mokeler said there was no question in his mind about whether to donate his kidney to Paul Sagon, his husband of two years. He gave the gift on Valentine’s Day.
>
> Mokeler and Sagon married two years ago in Malden, Massachusetts.
>
> The transplant means Sagon no longer has to endure painful dialysis. He had been regularly connected to the machine since May 1998.

Mokeler himself has some severe medical issues, specifically arthritis for which he takes a vast amount of pain medication. He was ruled out as a donor because of all the meds, so he secretly stopped taking them to see if he would then qualify.

Wow. That’s bravery for you. He was willing to put himself through all that pain just on the _chance_ he might be compatible? Good show, sir, good show.

It’s pricks like this guy that make the rest of us look bad.
No for real, this guy wins the “awesome guy” award. What a straight up good guy.

It’s times like this that I have to try really hard to remind myself that gay marriage is bad and ruins the sanctity of blah…blah…blah…

Nice story. However, since when is dialysis painful? My SIL is doing it and she has no physical complaints, except she gets cold. Dialysis is a royal pain in the ass, but I’ve never heard it’s painful.

See what happens?! We let the gays marry and they start giving each other their gay organs! Two different gay kidneys in the same gay guy means GAYER PEE in our sewers! Won`t somebody think of the children?

How totally selfless. I`m truly impressed.
