Did anyone else notice the broom handle behind Ford with the word “GriP” partway down the handle? Odd. (Prop, maybe? Not that it’s important or anything.) ---

[/QUOTE] Well, I did notice one seeming contradiction between _The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles_ and _The Last Crusade_. TLC explains in the intro how Indy developed his fear of snakes in his mid-teens. When he’s spying on the looters, his friend has a snake fall on his shoulder or near his feet (it’s been years since I’ve seen the movie, so I don’t quite recall). His friend nearly shrieks in terror which would indicate their presence when Indy calmy says something along the lines of “Big deal! It’s a harmless snake,” and throws the thing out the cave entrance. Later in the intro, with the fight scene on the circus train, Indy falls through the roof of the snake car right into a large cage full of snakes and is essentially submrged. This freaks him out immensely and he never shakes his fear after that point. In TYIJC, indy as a 7 or 8 year old boy encounters a snake in one of the first episodes and mentions how he hates snakes and is really afraid of them. Now, one could make the argument that he lost his phobia of snakes as he got older, only to gain it again, but knowing Lucas’s penchant for arbitrarily revising canon when it suits him, I’m inclined to think that he either forgot or just figured no one would really notice. Harrison Ford hasn’t lost his grip. It’s right there by him. How he grips it and what he does _while_ gripping it is between him and George Lucas, I assume. How about _“Indiana Jones and the Crusade for the Lost Porch of Doom”_ ? And it’s unlikely that his hat is the same one he wore in previous movies. They customize new ones to make them look old. I hear they have a dozen or so on hand at any shot. In the first Jones movie, Ford sat by a pool with the costumer at one point helping her “age” a number of the leather jackets he wore (accroding to Ford from some interview). Heck, in the movies, they even have special “dirty fingernail” makeup. That stuff will all be CGI-ed in eventually, when computer programmers are cheaper to hire than makeup artists. Likely any day now… ---
