I feel regretful and lonely after letting go of my long distance girlfriend. I have gained five pounds. One of my better friend’s husband died on New Years Eve (I’m suspecting a car accident or suicide) and the funeral is Friday. Someone broke a Cello in my school music room. It’s -40 outside. Thus far…fuck 2015 ---

I’m tired. Sleepy. Worn out. Grumpy. It’s cold out. I took off work yesterday afternoon to take the hubby to get some minor eye surgery done only to find out that it was just a consultation to get some minor eye surgery done and now I have to take time off on Thursday to take my hubby to get some minor eye surgery done. My best friend is going to Belize for a week. He’s going to come home all tan and relaxed and I’m going to be here in the midwest all pale and cold. I hate him. 😃 I found moth holes in one of the sweaters that I knitted for my husband as well as a few skeins of yarn in the crap room. It seems to have been contained to a small area (thank the gods) and everything affected has been hibernating in the freezer for a week. I’m going to check it all today. The sun only comes out on days when it’s too cold to go outside and enjoy it. ---

Not even two months ago, I had to have one of the cats put to sleep. Yesterday we found out we’re going to lose the dog too. Osteosarcoma. I pretty much can’t cope right now. ---

I finished my old job last year, and I’ll be looking for work again soon. I think I should apply somewhere for a job as a toilet cleaner. I’m good at it, seeing how often I have to clean other people’s shit off the toilet seat here at home. :mad: Also, the streets here are solid ice. Literally. I’m not exaggerating - if anything, I’m making an understatement. The city said they’d come by and put gravel on the road. So they did. A few pieces of gravel in the middle of the road. It took me half an hour of navigating the ice to walk to the store, which would normally take me 10 minutes or less. ---

Went to work. Pain too severe to tolerate, decided to head home. Take the light rail to one station to hop on a bus the rest of the way. Get there 7 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. No facilities, wait outside in -10-ish temps. Bus is 22 minutes late. ☹ Yeah, fucking hurt, and then fucking cold. Awesome. Get home, take a real pain killer (1/2 an Oxycontin). Laying there resting (twitching) when the door starts to be unlocked. I say something, he stops. Maintenance guy, wants to check the plumbing because water is coming into the apartment below mine from my kitchen area. Doesn’t find any evidence of any leak in my kitchen. I’m sure he’ll be back. What a fun day. ---

Fucking ouch. Our basement entry is outside the house and it has a low overhang so that you have to duck going in or out. In five years I’ve never banged my head on that, but made up for it today. Coming out with a carton in my hands and cracked my head really hard on the beam. I swear I thought I heard something crack. No blood, and I checked my pupils over the next hour to make sure there was no concussion, but I’ve got a nice headache going. ---

No, these are direct from the farm St Jude’s ads.
