# First time growing a vegetable garden: Advice?

Here’s how you contain mint - you get a flowerpot, you put the mint in it, and then you dig a hole in the garden. You put the pot in the hole so the edge is just a little bit above the garden soil. Voila - mint in the garden that doesn’t wander. It’s been working for me for a year now.
