I love watches. I really do. I particularly like the Apple Watch, and that’s the one I wear most of the time. The First World Problem? I have a few fine Swiss watches that I like to wear when the Apple Watch might not be as appropriate, such as when going to church. They wind down, and it is bothersome to have to reset the date and time and rewind them. It sure felt like a trivial First World Problem when I bought it. ---

Back to the work-at-home concept. I’ve been working from home most days, starting about a month ago. I find that I can take care of a bunch of little things without any impact to my work - it takes a few minutes to compile, and instead of surfing the web like I’d do at the office, I can go load the dish washer. Last week, I was topping off my hot tub, because it was a bit low. Then I got distracted with work, and forgot about it for a bit. Caught it just before it overflowed! ---

We stayed in a really nice hotel last night. After having a wonderful dinner, drinks and listening to some really awesome karaoke, I just wanted to go to bed. So, I was annoyed that I had to relocate 6 of the pillows that were on the huge, beautiful bed, before I could get in. 😉 ---

We had a couple of inches of unexpected snow yesterday. My wife and I thought some of the Guinness stew at a nearby pub sounded good so we went there for lunch. The snow apparently knocked out the picture for all five of the TV’s I could see from my seat. We had to sit there and eat stew and drink our Harps and just talk to each other. (hijacking my own post) have you seen the Xfinity commercials about “The moment nobody’s been waiting for?” I couldn’t help but chuckle as I watched the “DirecTV powered by AT&T” logo bouncing around the screens for an hour or so. I have a cold, and the thing that helps most with throat pain is getting Spiced Chai Tea from a barista in town - you know, the kind in steamed milk? I always want a big cup (24 oz, so I can drink it throughout the day), but my barista stand only has it in 16 oz.
