At an office today I saw a Beta splendens in a quart vase with the roots of a peace lily cutting him off from the surface. He came with the arrangement from the Florist. I explained that they breathe air and she mentioned that she had found him trapped in the roots once.
Is this really stupid and cruel, or what?
I realize that anabantids live in some crummy conditions, but this seems pretty bad.
Does anyone know which florists are doing this?
