Fisher DeBerry and the Elephant in the Locker Room (sports and race related)

No, but if you agree that blacks are faster, and it wasn’t professional suicide, wouldn’t it be the best way to find the best players?

No, because even white guys beat out black guys for many positions in the NFL where there is no limit in either pool of candidates.

In essence they do do that—for the speed positions. I don’t know where the numbers might be found, but I would guess that the vast, vast majority of college players who are invited to try out for the speed positions are black. College itself filters the pool considerable. And the elite of that group who are invited to try-outs will, therefore, tend to be black.

Aside from the speed positions, the attributes looked for are a combination of quickness and strength. If a lineman has enough sheer strength, they can get away with less speed.

So then we agree, only I seem to be the one who doesn’t like the fact that he blamed the loss on the fact that they did not have enough black players, and that he specifically stated that he intended to fill his team with black players.

I assume that in the tryout session that selected the current team, he picked the best available whether the player is white or black. He ended up with too many white players than he wanted.

So how is the next tryout going to work? If he holds tryouts and it give him the same racial proportion as he does now…what? It is a military academy, so it’s not like he can just bring in players from other school right? They have to get a nomination right? So what is he going to do, lobby members of Congress to nominate ‘ringers’? So that we end up having serious military men lose their spots to football focused athletes?

I don’t know much about sports, but if ‘in essence’ this is what they do, then maybe that’s is the explanation for why the NFL is 77% black?

Just to clarify: thay only look at the best of the best. It starts in high school. There the “pool” is just the kids in the school so you’ll see not just blacks in speed positions. But when you go to college, you only see the best of the high school players. And in the speed positions, they tend to be black. You can still find some whites at this point, as well. But now you take all those speed players from college teams and align them with only a handful of slots in the pros. The college stars are the only kids the pros look at, and at the speed positions they tend to be black. So you have a series of filters that separate the best from the rest. For certain positions, speed is essential, and the kids who wind up in those positions in the pros tend to be black.

Coaches aren’t looking for color, they’re looking for speed. The observation that this thread is based on is that most of the people who exhibit that trait are black. Seems kind of hard to argue with if you ask me. But others obvioulsy disagree.

Do you know ANYTHING about college football? DeBerry runs the option offense at Air Force. Teams that run the option care very little about how well quarterbacks pass the ball. They want quarterbacks who are fast, and can run the ball.

Hence, college teams that run the option/wishbone offense almost always have BLACK quarterbacks!

And Jews are smarter, thanks to their genes!

LOL. My apologies, these stereotypes are too many to keep up with.
