So I’m at a bar last Friday with a bunch of friends. Some other people I know are there, and they’ve brought Kathleen. Kathleen was slim, half-Asian and half-Polish, and very pretty. I started talking to her. We chatted away for a while; she’s smart, and seemed to like me. Time to go. I needed to get her phone number. But I choked up and lost my nerve! I left the bar and spent this past week mentally kicking myself. But I knew I’d get a second chance, because I know she knows some people I saw today. I asked them about her. She’s a lesbian. Sigh. ---
