Wife got a dog. Dog needs exercise
I can’t run 2 miles. I train dog to run with me while driving the Jeep.
Dogs feet get hurt on the hard pack of the dry lake. Need to take dog up in the sandy hills.
Roads are rocky and easy to get stuck. Hated the “lifted wheel” spin.
Locked the rear end with a spool. Works awesome!
Extra strain from the locked rear end kills the transmission.
Cheaper to buy another used Jeep than fix the old one. Dogs love it! They can jump right into the back.
“New” Jeep tires are shit. Flat first time out. Need to replace with offroad tires.
Shell out big bucks for some killer Cepek Extreme tires, because they offer a killer rebate. $100 back, Baby! But I gotta buy 31’s!
New tires rub wheel wells over big bumps.
Install a 2" lift kit to keep new tires from rubbing.

Dogs can no longer jump into the Jeep. :smack: (2 inches is a lot to a wiener dog)
I’m picking up 3 of 4 dogs to take them out to run.

My life is a comedy of errors.

You need to start a doggy-day-care to pay for the Jeep. The nightmare possibilities of that would be awesome.

Our dog exercise program involves owning horses.

You can ride over most terrains, and the dogs get exercise plus animal companionship. Free fertilizer for the garden. Of course, you’ll need a part time job to cover horse expenses.

And if not for the horses, you’d have never spent that year in college.

You don’t have to run exercising the dogs, just walk. They will get substantially more exercise than you because they will be off exploring in all directions.

Coyotes. I have to keep them ALL in sight at all times. Pretty tricky. I’ve got a 4-way lease, and the largest dog is like an anchor that keeps them all on the “righteous path”, so to speak.

If they scatter, they die. Almost lost the two girls a while back when they all took off. Dixie got bit on the ass before I was able to rescue her!

Autocorrect is a bitch, isn’t it? And not a cute little wiener dog kind, either. (Unless you really do have some kind of 4-way rental arrangement on your dogs. Stranger things…)

Maybe what you need a one giant wolfhound or shepherd or Rottweiler to play bodyguard.

No, the horses were to catch the cow.

Nothing to do with your dog transportation dilemma, but if 4 wiener dogs is awesome, then a stampede is awesomer!

There’s always someone bigger out there. I have a couple of friends who live out in what I believe is **Gatopescado’s** neck of the woods (neck of the sage?). They’ve got a revolving pack of ~five dogs, and they’re partial to German shepherd and pitbull mixes. Coyotes are no problem, but they lost two a few years ago to a mountain lion.

**They have upped their game!**

Three of four are now making the jump into the Jeep! They have adjusted to the extra 2". The Big One, who got run over and kinda messed up, never did jump, but he can outrun them all. A real hero!

Took 'em out today and they got a mouse!

True. When I lived in the mountains, we had wild hogs, mountain lions and bears. I had 3 large dogs (Akita, Rottweiler, Shepherd) and we had bear spray when out walking. I wanted to walk with a gun for longer hikes, but wasn’t confident I’d hit the right animal in the scrum. I also wasn’t sure it would do the trick against the hogs or the bears, frankly. Fortunately, we were able to avoid trouble.
