[As has been noted in other forums, it’s astonishing how virulent the hatred is among NFL offices towards Kaepernick, some even saying that he’s the most hated player since Rae Carruth. Carruth, who is jail for hiring a guy to murder his girlfriend.](http://larrybrownsports.com/football/nfl-execs-colin-kaepernick-traitor-rae-carruth/319875) It’s okay to beat your kid and your significant other, but if you don’t stand for the anthem, you’re anathema. ---

He’s [apparently](http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-colin-kaepernick-socks-20160901-snap-htmlstory.html) been wearing these sock since at least August 10. He has also posted that the socks were meant to signify rogue cops, not all police officers. Not sure that’s going to convince the critics, but there it is. ---

It doesn’t bother me that Kaep stood apart from the majority of Americans … It doesn’t bother me that he stood apart from the majority of fans in the stadium … It DOES bother me Kaep stood apart from his team, alone … that’s not how Super Bowls are won. Kaep just isn’t that good of a quarterback, he lost his starting job and he knows perfectly well the Niners ain’t going to pay their second string QB that much. This really seems like a spoiled little child standing off to the side stamping his foot screaming “Pay attention to ME”. Don’t get me wrong here, I enjoy burning the American flag as much as the next person, it’s good wholesome and constitutional protected entertainment … but he let the team down, just when they need him the most. You don’t have to be a Forty-Niner Faithful like myself to know this isn’t going to be a very good year. Alex Smith was always the better man … ---

IMO the GMs want guys who will sacrifice for the good of the team. The 49ers have all this drama surrounding their team and play their first game in 10 days. Its a major distraction. The fact that CK is marginally talented only makes his choices seem dumber. Its like he is melting down.
