I’m starting a flaming thread to roast G. Bush for all his sins against the people of the USA including: Not taking responsibility for getting us in over our heads in Iraq, helping contractors make it rich in Iraq, sending our jobs overseas, ignoring our unemployment problem, promoting a lassiez-faire US economy which is teetering on crumbling into the sea, and ignoring the NAACP. (And, don’t go thinking there are racial sub-issues here…I am a disgusted Caucasian that Bush can ignore their invitation as if the NAACP is worthless is King Bush’s cold eye.) What else can we slam him for? He’s not my President. I didn’t vote to elect Pres Oil Wells and VP Halliburton. The only question is: Which will be the new Republican slogan? Why should I worry? Let 'em eat cake? All the real people left behind? Shees, if they regurgitate Chappiquiddik (sp?) once more, I’ll go the GOP convention and vomit on 'em! As if the entire Democratic party is to blame for the Kennedy’s private life? If what was done was so wrong, why then did the girl’s father take a nice chunk of change for settlement? Unemploy Bush 2004! Lick Bush 2004! - Jinx, utterly digusted that Bush can steer the nation with his eyes closed. :mad: ---

I dislike Bush as much as most, without (I hope) veering into tinfoil hat territory, but do we **really** need **another** “let’s bash Bush” thread? There are so many of them already laying around; why not pick one of them and use it? Do we **need** another one? ---

Well, anybody who has: 1. a brain 2. a heart 3. one or more of the following: (a) a newspaper from the past four years, (b) a television set, or © an Internet connection already knows that Bush is it disgrace not only to himself, but to his nation, mankind, primates in general, mammals, vertebrates (if he really does have a spine) and the entire animal kingdom. Possibly to plants and fungi as well, but I’m feeling generous. He should never, ever, in a thousand billion years, have been elected president of anything, least of all the most powerful, most advanced nation in recorded history. Where I’m writing this, November is the worst month of the year, a time of cold wetness and merciless winds. Yet this year, I long for it to come early. ---

Oh, for the love of… Can’t you guys even change the animals? Razorbacks are from Arkansas. Make 'em longhorn steers or something. Kudos, though for substituting Cheney and Rummy for Hillary and Chelsea – I’ve always thought dragging families into stuff like this is low-end. Hillary was reasonably a target for jokes because of their advertised two-for-one gig, her involvement in the health plan and of course her subsequently-confirmed political ambitions. Chelsea, not so much. That was out of bounds and I appreciate that whoever first translated the joke (which was itself no doubt translated from an earlier Nixon joke or somesuch) chose politicians rather than daughters. ---
