Just got done with something quite similar… Headache body aches fever that wouldnt quit chills sweats coughing vomitting stuffy nose to runny nose all very fun. hope you feel better!! in the mean time watch trash tv, drink lots of water, and REST (something I was really bad at doing)… im the worlds most awful sick person. ---

Yeah, the flu season is running late this year. I’m continuing to offer flu shots for my patients through the end of this month. We’ve avoided an epidemic in the prison so far, I hope that holds. You’ll feel better eventually. But influenza really, really, really sucks. Hard. So huddle in a fetal ball, having fever dreams which do help pass the time. And push fluids!!! Having the flu and being dehydrated is twice as bad as having the flu. ---

I reckons a lot of people call an illness “the flu” when it’s not actually influenza at all. It’s just some minor stomach complaint or severe headcold. I am relatively certain that I myself have never suffered an actual case of influenza. For that reason I’ve never felt the need to “get my shots”.
