Iceland kindly asks that in the flirtrooms,he would prefer it if only female dopers actively flirted with him.A couple of times,I’ve now being flirting with someone who I thought from their posts was female but has turned out to be male,and the doper name was neutral.I have nothing against gay dopers flirting in the thread.It’s just I preferred you don’t flirt with me.You won’t get anywhere anyway… Thankyou 😃 ---

Seriously . . . this thread stretches _Mundane Pointless Stuff_ to new lengths. Either take it as a compliment or don’t even give it a second thought. You realize those gorgeous 5’11" natural blonde Chinese women from Japan that you talk to on the internet might not be _exactly_ who they say they are, right? Or are you trying to use the SDMB as some kind of “hook-up” forum? I know it has spontaneously happened plenty of times in the past but it seems to me that more and more people are coming here actively looking for significant others and participating almost exlusively in flirty-type threads, which is annoying at the very least, and in-my-very-humble opinion inconsistent with the spirit of the boards. ---
