I am so so so so so tired. I’ve been trying to cope with a dozen different things these past 48 hours. I haven’t slept because I had to go to work at 5am. I’m away from all my friends and worse close to all my family. My head is going all over the place…but… None of that matters because I’m planning a dopefest! **HOORAY!** On the 4th of July! **HOORAY!** In Tallahassee, Florida! \*\*HOORA-\*\*wha? Yes I know I do not live in Tallahassee, or Florida, or anywhere in the continent of North America. But thanks to the lovely assistance of **harmless** (As well as the use of her apartment) I get to host a dopefest farther than anyone has ever hosted a dopefest before. Its unique! It’s outrageous! It’s the perfect way to begin my trip of randomly wandering around the wonderful USA. So, who would like to join me and **harmy** (and **Yepmas** of course)? ---

Yay! There are about a bajillion (about 8 is a bajillion, right?) of us Dopers here in Tallahassee and the surrounding area. Since [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=271025) didn’t ever come to fruition, how about we try again with a bit more advance warning. I’m calling out **Susie Derkins** , **Zakalwe** , **LilCutie** , **fishbicycle** , **XJETGIRLX** , **Sharky** , and anyone else within the sound of this post! 😃 WHO WANTS TO DOPE!? 😛 ---

Man, I’m all the way down in Fort Myers. If I come, it will be a major trip (for me.) The 4th of July is on a Monday. So it makes it easier on my trip time if the Dopefest start the weekend before the 4th. Is that possible? ---

You can put me down for “aware of the upcoming possibility of a tentative Dopefest.” I have no more idea what we’ll be doing on Saturday than I do in July, so I’ll have to confirm or deny in about 90 days, OK? ---

The dates that started around June were my attempt to please my parents and start with them. Then I realised that: 1. I have a four week visa 2. I am homeless until August. 3. If I start any earlier than July I will be a) homeless or b) an illegal alien I hope to arrive the evening of the Saturday before (July 2nd) which is the very start of my trip. I have no problem with people converging on my place as long as it is kept in mind that **Yepmas** and I have a two bedroom apartment. We can seat 6-12 people comfortably (12 as long as people don’t mind using a pool table as a dinner table). If it turns out to be a bunch of us, we may need to look for a larger location and as **Susie** points out, the parks will probably be used for festivities that weekend.
