Looks like I won’t be making it to Orlandope after all. Although I’m closing on my house on Friday I probably won’t be moving my things in until Saturday. I may drive up to N. FlaDope, though - it’s not _that_ far, and I’ve simply got to meet the legendary **FairyChatMom** before I die. ---

gah, **pestie** , I don’t think I’m legendary. Wholesome, inane, bothersome, annoying, perhaps, but hardly legendary. Please don’t set yourself up for disappointment!! I will be at Turkey Lake Park on Sunday, but without Ivylad and the kidlets. I think I’ll have enough time to drop off the brownies and potato chips, hopefully meet a few of you, then I have to go to the in-laws for Father’s Day. 10am, right? How do I find you? Do you think the park will really let you put up signs that say “This way to Dopefest?” We may get some crackheads wandering around, hoping to score. :eek: ---

OK, I’m assuming this is still a go for tomorrow. I’m picking up **KarlGrenze** around 9:15 (pending a confirmation email today) and I’m thinking I should get to the park by 11. My daughter does have to work, but I’m taking her car, much to her chagrin, because her Beetle gets much better fuel economy than my van. And she’s got a CD player. 😃 So, before I print out my mapquest maps, are we all still on for this? ---

I will be there. The brownies are made, cut into squares and wrapped in tinfoil, and the unopened bag of Doritos is waiting next to them. I get to meet **FCM**! I’m so excited!! (Jeez, I hope I don’t embarrass myself…I mean, she’s practically a _celebrity_ :p) ---

I’ve been fighting a root canal gone bad for the last couple days in Syracuse. Today was Airline Follies X. I don’t think I’m going to be running out and putting up any signs. I will be there with frisbees, the Beaglette, and three dogs. Suggestion, make the first left–a right if you drive around the whole loop, which isn’t that far. I’m pretty sure that there are lots of grills down by the lake. Regardless, I’ll be looking for a lime Beetle. That’s as good as a sign. ---

**Beagle** , when we arrived and saw the signs saying no dogs, we tried to decide if you would have taken them home and come back or just gave up in disgust. There were four of us there for a while - **ivylass** (who had to leave early), **KarlGrenze** , **g8rguy** , and me. We ate the yummy brownies that **ivylass** brought, sat and talked till around 1. Then the 3 of us walked around looking for anyone who seemed Doper-like, and finding none, decided to go on our merry ways as it was **HOT!!!** I just got home a little while ago, much to the delight of my doggie. So, where were you OrlanDopers?!?!? ---

It was so nice to meet **g8rguy, KarlGrenze, and FCM**. I got there about 9:45am and walked up and down the bike path trying to figure out who in the various pavilions might be from SDMB. I got blisters on my heels, and probably looked like a stalker walking back and forth, back and forth. I mean, it wasn’t like I could walk up to a group of people and say, “Hi, are you Dopers?” I was about ready to leave when I see The Lime Green Beetle. A-ha, sez I, and decide to make a fool of myself and ask the driver if they were from Orange Park. Bingo! There was **FCM** and **Karl** , and who should walk up but **g8rguy** , who had followed The Lime Green Beetle all the way from Jacksonville. **FCM** put a sign in her rear view window telling people which pavilion we were at. **Beagle** , I’m sorry we missed you.
