Hanna-Barbera already solved that issue with their intro to _The Flintstone Comedy Hour_ in the '70s.

We’ll just go Puritan on our asses, and say “gray apparel” and “make the Yuletide gray”. After all, the [Puritan War on Christmas](https://newengland.com/today/living/new-england-history/how-the-puritans-banned-christmas/) is a part of the US’s “longstanding traditions”, which is apparently how everything is to be decided now.
