[Groucho] And what that alligator was doing with a garbage bin, I’ll never know. [/Groucho] Finally, a heroic deed by the much-maligned Florida Man, who too often is the subject of bad press. A year-long resident of Florida officially earned local status when he noticed an alligator in his neighbor’s front yard, took a garbage bin to capture it, then released it into the wild. I like that the alligator starts backing away as soon as it sees the open garbage can, as if it’s thinking “Oh, crap! Not this again!” Regardless, it clearly has some notion of what’s coming. ---

Actually… that wasn’t a bad capture. Sure, real shoes/boots and gloves might help, but honestly, I though he made good use of the bin for the purpose, and keeping it between him and the gator provided some protection. ---
