# Florida National Guard Mobilizing To...Washington?

I’m wondering what this is about? Anyone heard this from another source? Why would they need the NG for such duty?

This is to defend against the Iranian air force, who of course were responsible for 9/11.

There are a few SAM batteries around DC & the White House in particular. Have been for years.

To avoid the hassle of creating a special unit & base to operate them, DOD just rotates the duty amongst the various National Guard units around the country that already operate that type of ordinary US Army-issue equipment.

for the next 6 months it’s Florida’s turn to supply the manpower.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
