# Flouride in bottled water?

Does anyone know of a brand of bottled water that contains flouride? My child’s pediatrician says that they exist, but couldn’t name brands.

Recognize any of the names? Me neither. Except for Perrier, which is way down at the bottom (#386).
Why do you need bottled water with fluoride in it? How much fluoride does the doc say your kid needs? How old is the kid? You could just have him brush with fluoride toothpaste, that would certainly help.

They also have fluoride drops. I gave them to my girls when we were in Cental America for several months and drinking bottled water.
Ask your pharmacist. They look like judges, standing above everybody else, behind a counter, but they will gladly tell you about any product in the store, prescription or otherwise.

Check the labels. People presume bottled water to be spring water, but sometimes it is just regular tap water.
There’s one brand (might be Great Bear or Deer Park, I really don’t remember) where the label says explicitly “Source: Teterboro NJ Municipal Water Supply”. If you can find something like that, just call the city water dept.

_Dannon_ has a brand, I believe. I couldn’t find it on the website, but it’s marketed in smaller bottles, like those that would fit in a lunchbox. Kroger and Publix around here also carry gallon bottles of a brand that’s “Nursery” something. The label on that one is mostly pink, I believe.

Thanks for your responses. My daughter is 9 months old, so can’t brush with toothpaste yet, and our local tap water doesn’t contain flouride (not that we’d drink it, anyway.)
I was SO hoping to see Poland Spring on the list…
My ped. doesn’t recommend flouride drops, because the AAP doesn’t recommend them. I will check with the pharmacist. Thanks again!

In addition, if you are getting bottled water delivered to your home (e.g., Sparkletts, Arrowhead), my understanding is that you can request a flouridated variety.
