# Flummoxed. Help this heathen create a Thanksgiving dinner blessing.

Figures. Just when I was really prepared to fulfill my proper role at the Thanksgiving table, my wife (prior to us sitting down for dinner) had asked my cousin to say grace so I didn’t get to use my blessing. Actually it was kind of touching that she went out of her way to rescue me.

Next year. And I’ll make sure my wife knows ahead of time. 🆒

**Dinsdale** , that is very creative.

**Sailboat** , did you really say that? I think it’s hilarious, but wouldn’t go over very well with my conservative relatives.

I hope all of you had a terrific holiday with friends and family. I did.

Yes, I said it, but I was among people of the appropriate political persuasion, so it wasn’t an act of defiance. I suppose I cribbed it from the old “a woman’s place is in the House…” bumper sticker, but I didn’t realize that until today.

I had not one, but _two_ terrific holidays with friends and family. And a nice long ramble in a national park with the dog, too. 🙂
