Yea, I’ve noticed the pre-flushers. It does seem overly anal.

However, I neither pre OR post flush a urinal!

Mainly because, “I’m gonnna touch that filthy handle after someone’s just touched their dirty dick?”

Secondly, I think urinals are self draining. Maybe not self-flushing but, I don’t believe that you can overflow a urinal with pee. I think it will drain when it reaches a certain level.

Not a problem for me as I have terrific pee control and hit the dryest spot on the urinal so as not to cause backsplash.

Another reason why I can’t understand guys who urinate in a urinal “hands free”. You need directional control just for this reason.

Obviously, the pre-flush is to deal with what’s left behind by all the guys who’ve admitted they don’t flush _after_! I don’t unless it’s exceptionally nasty smelling. And I hit the handle with the side of my hand, near the wrist, and then wash. People don’t want to touch the handle, but they’ll open the door that’s been touched by a gazillion guys who just peed and didn’t wash? I don’t get it.

**Aesiron** , chill, dude. It’s a thread about peeing. That was a lot less of a hijack than I see in 20 threads a day. I’m neither offended nor inflamed.

Oh yea, that’s a whole other aspect of the ritual. For me, it’s, somehow get a piece of paper towel, open the faucets with that towel, get some soap with the towel, wash, get another towel, dry, use that towel to open the door.

Sound anal? Maybe, but at least it makes more sense than Pre-flushing.

I’m not angry nor did I ever accused it of being a hijack, only a pointless statement. S/he posted only to accuse the previous posters of some pet peeve of his or her’s and one of my pet peeves is being falsely accused of behaviours I’m not guilty of.

I agree with your take on this. I think it’s to “jump start” the bladder for those who have stage fright at the urinal. There are others who walk up, unzip and spit in the urinal, which I think has the same reason behind it in many cases.
