# Foghorn Leghorn---who is the nerdy little chicken?

According to the site that **koeeoaddi** cites, the dog is just “Barnyard Dog” or “Barnyard Dawg.” It looks like he doesn’t have a proper name.

Not quite, **Tangent**. Jr. digs _several yards away_ from the woodbox making it all the more startling when Foghorn is pulled out of the (very shallow) hole. It is one of my favorite WB animated moments, though.

One of my favorite Foghorn Leghorn quotes refers to little Egghead Jr.

_I swear… kids coming up these days don’t know how to tie their pumpkins down_

Always a useful quote when talking about “kids these days”.
