I seem to recall that he did express gratitude to everyone in general. I have no problem with not receiving personal thanks from someone. Charity is giving of yourself even if you don’t expect to live to see the results. Expecting a reward for your generosity is somewhat dickish. ---

I see on the go-fund-me site, most of the donations were anonymous. Could it be the case that those that donated anonymously just got the generic “thank you” that went out to everyone, and those who donated with their name got a more personalized one? ---
