I came to know him only recently myself, and I’ve concluded he doesn’t have more than four brain cells to rub together, and unfortunately, he rubbed them all together. Whether he’s drinking or not, being sick fucks you up and sometimes normal niceties get overlooked. He strikes me as basically a decent guy so I suspect not giving thanks was an oversight. ---
