The article says he was arrested on May 6th. From his comments about having to “save Bernie”, it sounds like he was thinking about assassinating Biden during the Primaries, so that Bernie Sanders could win. ---

Wow. What did this guy NOT do? And where did he get 500K in cash? Aren’t authorities driving around and shooting some kind of laser beam at houses to find out if people have cash stashed away? (Snark - I’ve heard rumors about that for more than 30 years, and have never believed it, because it really can’t happen.) ---

What I see in the Jewish Telegraphic Agency piece – both by virtue of the fact that they _are_ covering the story and by what the story says – is that he grew up in a household that was fairly aligned and active with their faith and in their temple. It didn’t strike me as a “… who happens to be Jewish” kind of story. The fact that “his middle name is that of a renowned Talmudic sage” is mentioned strengthens that feeling. Which is only to speculate whether/how that upbringing – along with the **clear** mental health (and other) issues – might have played into these actions. The whole Sanders thing could be totally unrelated to any of it, or to anything. He may simply have fixated on Sanders for reasons that none of us would ever understand. OTOH … ---

Yes, the article is quite misleading, probably because it’s the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and they claim connection with all things Jewish. They’re really stretching here though, grasping at anything that might have a Jewish angle. Mainly, there’s nothing in the article indicating Alexander ever set foot in a temple or had any connection whatsoever with Judaism after the age of 8. Yeah, the JTA seems to have put that in there for no other reason than to claim Jewish relevance - it’s completely out of the blue and apropos of nothing in that piece. Giving a Jewish kid a Biblical middle name is quite common. I wouldn’t ascribe anything to the religion angle based on that article. ---
