# Folding paper in half more than 7 times

In [this](http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a4_241.html) column Cecil explained how plastic could be folded in half 12 times. But in fact it works with paper too. [Britney Gallivan](http://www.pomonahistorical.org/12times.htm) has successfully folded paper twelve times (after figuring out mathematically how it could be done).
