**One of your favorite foods at your favorite restaurant** 1. Hot link burger; Boss Drive-In, Seattle, WA 2. Corned beef and provolone sandwich with honey mustard and caramelized onions; Which Wich, Suffolk, VA 3. Breakfast burger; Village Roadhouse, Skokie, IL 4. Lasagna; George’s Steakhouse, Suffolk, VA 5. The falafel and hummus wrap, with a warbat for dessert, at the Olive Cafe, Topeka Kansas 6. Banh mi sandwich with pickled radish at Hello Saigon, NYC 7. Unk’s Mess, Marge’s on Rose Street, La Crosse (WI) 8. Fish _you_ caught that day, pecan crusted and grilled; Topwater Grill, San Leon, TX There aren’t many “you hook, we cook” restaurants around anymore. ---

Baked Escargot; Iron Horse Bar & Grill, Bridge Lake, BC (CA) This was a tiny B&G next to the Bridge Lake General Store; I was staying at nearby Lac des Roches Resort in 2001. We came here looking for sandwiches and the owner upsold us on the baked escargot. None of us ever had snails before; we tried it and loved it so much we came back the next day and doubled our order. ---

When I went back looking for it last year I stopped here and while the staff couldn’t help me they offered me this dish. An incredible flavor fiesta! ---
