How has JD Vance managed to blow every opportunity handed to him on a silver platter during this election cycle? While I’m a liberal voter even if the economic policies hurt my pocket (high earner) I’d rather take that than letting the US turn into a living hell by the GOP. But this guy. Jeez Louise. You know Trump is a dumbass but this guy is smarter, younger, but much more a dumbass somehow. Jeb Bush sighing in relief over his ill famed “Please clap” drivel or the late Dole’s “potatoe” fiasco. And I’m going to throw this out there, but Vance wearing what looks like women’s eyeliner is not a good look. The way he sold out his own family is despicable. Don’t get me started on his bullshit book about his childhood. I think the GOP has gotten too cocky about their odds of winning this cycle let alone the last cycle in 2020. I think people forget just how hated Hillary Clinton was, to the point where swarms of Democrats voted for Jill “Shithead” Stein or Trump as a F-U to HRC. Thankfully Trump’s idiocy, racism, and general dumbass decisions in his staff/party led to his defeat in 2020. Hopefully we see a blowout/landslide victory for Harris and Walz this year. ---

Why do they stick with Vance? Because they really like him and think he’s a clever, charismatic person. No joke, no sarcasm. He’s only “blown” things from our POV. It’s just like how Trump one-on-one is apparently a funny, interesting person to talk to. It’s the rallies where he gets nuts. ---

Whoops. I knew that didn’t sound right. Yes, unfortunately Trumpers think everything he says or what Vance says is the smartest thing ever. I’m reaching here but surely everyone remembers the old Quaker commercials for their chewy bars? The kids who like to talk about inane stuff get handed a chewy bar? For the record, those bars taste terrible nowadays. ---

Vance holds negative appeal to _us._ What I really don’t know is whether/how much appeal he holds for _them._ His absolute lack of a soul, morality, and boundaries should endear him to the MAGAs. What effect he might have on any truly undecided voters – particularly in the much vaunted swing states – I truly don’t know. I generally believe that the machinery behind MAGA has far more _evil_ people operating it than _stupid_ people. I default to the assumption that they _do_ have a carefully considered plan. That plan, however, could still be wrong. In this case … I have absolutely no idea. ---

Who honestly thinks Trump is normal in private? We had 4 years of straight leaks every week about his outbursts and general bitching. I don’t for a second believe he was any level of cool and interesting in private then, nor the decades leading up to him becoming POTUS. Even as I type that it’s hard to believe this dork was President. ---

Provided of course that he (Vance) is in the dictator’s good graces and occupies the office of Vice President, a veritable Hermann Goring to Trump’s Hitler. Everybody else can go to hell, especially brown immigrants. That’s just the kinda great guy Vance is. ---
