yes and they still provide those things to food banks to this day … and ive ate most of it at some point in my life…
The pork isn’t bad if you make it like tuna with mayo eggs and pickle relish … just make sure you get all the fat and salt off the edge ,
Actually by the time I got it the cheese was more like generic velveeta sort of real and fake at the same time … we used the peanut butter and corn syrup for cookies
And I could only eat powdered eggs for a while due to health concerns so they weren’t horrible stepdad said that’s what they served in jail …
The oddest thing ? the chocolate cookie recipie on the back of the cornmeal pack that I made on a dare and they were so good that I sold them at the school bake sale and most other occasions … well
One time mom got a huge can of ketchup … she had to take it to the car in a shopping cart … it tasted like what youd find in jr high school …we used maybe a bottles worth and she donated for the weekly homeless dinners …
