For what it’s worth, we use cloth diapers with our daughter. The service costs about the same as what average disposables would cost.

You guys are pikers. Back when I was dealing with diapering children, we were trying to save every nickel. I bought cloth diapers, which I washed myself with soap, hot water and bleach, and then I would hang them outside in the sun to dry. Ha!

(I know, this is not practical unless you have the luxury of staying home with your infants, and you also have a back yard with a clothesline.)

**MLS** , actually washing them at home may very well be more expensive than a service, given the cost of hot water, soap, and bleach.

We **can’t** use cloth diapers on Aaron. He’s got a history of both contact dermatitis and he’s had diaper rash so bad that it’s required antifungal medication to clear it up. Since we’ve changed to Huggies, he’s had no problems with rash at all, and have had no leaky diapers.
