Actually, ISTM that there are savory, as well as sweet fritters. The obvious example that comes to mind first are corn dogs. ---

Yeah, five is a weird question. I was thinking, tabbouli (middle eastern) or raita (Indian), stuff like that. I figured there’d be several I didn’t know about. And, sorry about the appellation question. I knew there were at least three (Champagne, Bordeaux, & Rhone) and same thing, figured there were probably more. I forget that not everyone compulsively reads every printed word on all objects in their immediate vicinity at all times, heh. But now, “corn dog” qualifies as a fritter? I’ll have to go look _that_ up… ---

Unless you think it’s too large. ---
