My hubby does not understand my love of iceberg lettuce. He says “There’s no nutritional value! It’s mostly water!” That is true, of course. But if you have some nice, fresh, crisp iceberg lettuce, mixed with the textures of crispy bacon, slightly chewy hard-cooked eggs, shredded sharp cheddar, some crunchy croutons, and some nice full-fat slightly lumpy bleu cheese, and you’ve got a delightful texture combo on a plate!
I try to be somewhat adventurous in my food eating, but I draw the line at foods that have to have tastebuds peeled off.
And sea bugs.
