Inspired by the ongoing opposite thread. I went to the store yesterday for some sardines in spring water. They were out so I bought the ones in mustard. Yummy! Who would have thunk it? ---

Milk toast. Sounds repellant, like soggy bread in milk. Tastes wonderful! I make cinnamon toast, liberally sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, put it on a plate, and then slide in just enough milk to barely float the toast. ---

_Bahn mi_ (Vietnamese sandwiches) with the sardines-in-tomato-sauce option. Even better than the classic version with mystery meat and mystery pate! The “Spanish Tapas” mix at a local goor-may shop. Various green olives, tiny garlic gherkins, pickled onions and garlic. Every bite sends laser beams of vinegar through your tongue. The wife can’t eat it, but they make me ecstatic. ---

It’s been a long time since I though of milk toast. As kids, if we were out of cereal, we’d break up toast in a bowl, drizzle honey over the pile, then add milk. Cinnamon would have worked well with that. ---
