Doritos. I like chips/crisps a lot I’m glad I don’t like doritos because they’re everywhere. I have enough trouble resisting food that’s bad for me.

First time I had roe was at our first anniversary dinner. I swallowed a bite and thought “now is not the time to say this stuff is nasty”.

Goulash. I’m not even sure if I spelled it correctly, and it’s too disgusting for a person with reasonable sensibilities to even look up in the dictionary. It’s that bad. I can’t believe my parents forced me to eat that vile concoction. Of all the squishy food in the world, goulash has got to be the worst. Other detestable undigestibles include spinach and lutefisk, and I’ll gladly echo the votes on liver. All liver. Beef. Chicken. Whatever. Really, all animal organs, but among them it’s liver that has caused me the most distress in the kitchens and dining rooms of my life. Still, for all that, it is with goulash that you could lock me up–a never-ending supply of the world’s best goulash–and watch me starve to death. I’d rather gnaw off my own foot and eat that. Hell. my worst enemy’s foot . . . with a fungus problem.

Anyway, liver, spinach, lutefisk, and goulash. All bad. I won’t eat them. And I’m pretty good with this decision.

I am SO glad I cannot stomach **egg nog**.

It is just the sort of creamy, fatty concoction that I usually swoon over, but I wouldn’t coat my mouth with it on a dare.

But by all means, say yes to [boiled custard](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boiled_custard). Egg nog’s good, too, though, in all fairness.

Have you tried soy nog? That stuff is delicious, and it has a much more pleasant texture than egg nog.

Another mayo hater here. I gagged at the comparison of mayonnaise to buttercream frosting - I could eat a spoonful of frosting, but a spoonful of mayo would end up on the opposite wall immediately, followed by my lunch.

You forgot to mention breakfast and last night’s dinner. Urk.

Actually, I’ve had some buttercreams that were as foul feeling and tasting as mayo–that same noxiously greasy texture and coating of fat on the tongue, that same undertaste of pure Crisco. (Mind you, I like Crisco–nothing else will do for biscuit-making. But it tastes nasty in and of itself.) Actually, the creme filling in the pastries I’ve gotten from Walmart has had that exact same issue. Gag.

> But the thing I came in here to say is soda. In my entire life (30 years), I’ve drank less then a half a can of soda. It’s the carbonation that I can’t stand. I can drink beer or (gin and) tonic or Whiskey Sours (Whiskey and Squirt) but I can’t drink a regular soda, I just can’t get past the bubbles. From time to time I’ve tried to get myself to like it (hence the half a can), but I detest the taste of cola and all the non-cola flavors taste like syrup to me, way to sweet. I eventually gave up on trying to like it. When it comes to that type of thing I have an addictive personality. If I could find one that I liked, I’d be one of those people that drank 10 cans a day. I figure as long as I don’t drink it now, why start? Although there are plenty of hot days when I’m working in the yard when I think to myself that a nice cold soda would probably taste pretty damn good.

I had to delete your delusional ramblings re the greatness that is Miracle Whip, but I concur heartily with the rest of your post. I can swallow champagne, and for some reason the bubbles in beer are wonderful, but soda grosses me out. I tried waiting for it to go flat, but then of course it just tastes nasty. Blecchhh.😃

I can’t stand ice cream. I’ve tried it all, full cream, double churned, homemade I just can’t get past the mouthfeel. Nobody believes me when I say it but I really can’t recall the last time I ate ice cream.

Don’t be ridiculous.

Kittens aren’t creamy, they’re chewy and crunchy at the same time.

😉

For me, it’s beer and most forms of liquor. It’s not good for me, I know a lot of people who’ve done very regrettable things while overindulging, there is a family history of alcoholism… which I don’t have to worry about since I don’t LIKE the stuff. I don’t even like most wines, and the few liquor-based drinks (daiquiris etc.) that I like are too much trouble to indulge often.

I heartily approve of this attitude (even if I don’t understand it). More ice cream for me!! :D.

I dislike alcohol and so far that has worked out pretty well for me, especially when you consider how many alcoholics are in my family tree!

The other one I am glad I don’t like is seafood. It is too funny to me that people will expound on the virtues of fish but their favorite fish is salmon because “it doesn’t taste like fish!” or they will wax poetic about how healthy seafood is for you while dunking their lobster chunks in liquid butter. I’m glad they enjoy it and I don’t want to take it away from people who really love it but I am happy with my decision not to eat it.

Another thing I just thought of that I’m glad I don’t like…

Filet Mignon. I love a good steak, but for me, I’m looking for flavor, and pretty much every filet mignon I’ve ever had tasted odd, if it had any taste at all. I’m not too wild about the almost mushy texture either.

So, I save a small bundle of money and stick with ribeyes.
