# Foot injury - advice? {It’s a blood clot}

Not sure how to handle this with work. Do I need to take a LOA? The pain goes back and forth from manageable to un-fing-believable. I’m currently on part 2 of that cycle. A little worried about losing my job, I had to take a LOA in 2018 for cancer surgery, and there were repercussions [IMO](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/talking-to-hr-bad-idea/955965).
